How does it work?

Working Principle of TDS Water Quality Detection Probe
The TDS water quality detection probe generally works with a circuit board. They apply a voltage between two or more electrodes of the probe. Positively charged ions (such as sodium ions, calcium ions, magnesium ions, hydrogen ions, etc.) will move towards the electrode with negative charge, and negatively charged ions (such as chloride ions, sulfate ions, bicarbonate ions, etc.) will move towards the electrode with positive charge (Figure 1). The movement of ions forms an electric current. After the circuit board detects the current determined by the movement of ions, it outputs the ppm value (that is, the TDS value).
