The HNF-S solvent-resistant series membrane uses polyimide as the membrane matrix material, with molecular weight cut-off (MWCO) around 200 Da. Solvent-resistant materials are selected as sealing materials, and 304 steel materials are used as shell materials.


They can operate stably in solvents of different polarities, with low

1812 Nanofiltration (NF) Membrane

Nanofiltration (NF):  The Nanofiltration membranes operate in the realm between Ultrafiltration, and Reverse Osmosis filtering water down to 1 nanometer (0.001 microns), hence the term "Nanofiltration".  Nanofiltration has a removal rating of 20 to 98% for minerals such as magnesium and calcium (hardness/lime), while only having a removal rating of 20 to 80% for minerals such as sodium and chloride (salts). What this translates into is that the NF membrane will remove a large amount of hardness (kalk / lime), and reduce the total mineral content of the source water, however, it will still retain some of the minerals and salts from the source water. 

The 1812 Nanofiltration (NF) Membranes are designed to work with low-pressure situations with small residential NF systems (such as under-the-counter Nanos) or with small purification systems used for applications such as household drinking water, restaurants, or in applications where the Total Mineral content is looking to be reduced, but not completely removed as would be the case with a Reverse Osmosis Membrane.

Firstly, check for the presence of corrosive substances, such as solvents, acids, and bases, in the separation system. If any are found, it is necessary to select special separation membranes. Next, determine the size of the substance to be separated and accordingly choose from the available NF membranes, categorized as LNF (large), MNF (medium), and SNF (small) models.

Q6: What are the precautions when using NF?
1. Before use, pre-treatment is necessary to reduce fouling, scaling, and membrane degradation, thereby enhancing the operational efficiency of NF membrane elements.

2. Before use, the system should be flushed with purified water or product water for approximately 30 minutes.

3. The NF membrane elements are shipped with stored preservative solution, which consists of a sodium bisulfite (NaHSO3) water solution with a concentration of 0.5-1%. The pH value of the preservative solution should be tested every month, and if the pH≤3, the preservative solution should be promptly replaced.

4. Membrane components that are temporarily not in use should be sealed after being filled with a preservative solution. They should be stored in a flat, clean area on the ground, free from corrosive and contaminating substances, and kept away from indoor cold and heat sources. The storage environment temperature should be controlled within the range of 5-40ºC, with the recommended optimal storage temperature being 15-30ºC
